The grounds surrounding the Serpentine Jarrahdale Recreation Centre were abuzz with activity on Sunday with about 30 excited children hunting high and low for delicious Easter treats.

The Easter egg hunt was part of a myriad of activities organised by representatives at Centrepoint Church Byford.

Lead pastor Lisa Rossi said everyone that attended had a great time.

“Resurrection Sunday included a live band singing Easter-specific songs and an Easter message from campus pastor Joe Rossi,” she said.

Mrs Rossi said the church has been operating in Byford since February 2018 with the intention to reach and meet the needs of the fast growing region.

“We offer Sunday services at the YMCA on Mead Street including children’s church and also a youth program that will run three major events in term two and then kick off every Friday night in term three,” she said.

“We also host a wide range of men’s and women’s groups that meet monthly and offer support and friendship.”
