Youth Fest is making a splash this April, bringing back the much-loved pool party at Cannington Leisureplex.

After drawing over 450 young people in 2023, the City of Canning’s Youth Fest pool party returns on Saturday, 12 April 2025, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, as part of Youth Week WA celebrations. Thanks to support from the Department of Communities through the Youth Week WA 2025 Grants Program, the event is completely free for youth aged 12 to 17 years.

This year’s party promises an evening packed with energy, music, and entertainment, featuring a live DJ, photobooth, water slides, pool inflatables, and more. It’s not just a party, but a place to connect, unwind, and celebrate what it means to be young in our community.

Mayor Hall said the event is about more than just fun. “Youth Fest is a fantastic opportunity for young people in our community to come together in a safe and welcoming space,” he said. “We want to provide our youth with positive experiences that inspire them and encourage social engagement.”

With the Youth Week WA 2025 theme being ‘Our Threads, This Place, Your Moment’, the event recognises the value young people bring to the community and encourages them to express themselves in a supportive environment.

The event is strictly drug, smoke, and alcohol-free, and Registered Carers are welcome to join in the celebration.
