Police have charged a 29-year-old woman after a high-speed chase through the south eastern suburbs overnight.

It is alleged around 12.55am on October 26 police attempted to stop an SS Holden Commodore on Balfour Street in Huntingdale.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and drove in a reckless manner to evaded police.

The police air wing was called in to direct ground vehicles, which found the Commodore abandoned on Tait Street in Armadale.

The driver had fled the scene but was apprehended soon after.

The Carlisle woman will appear in Armadale Magistrates Court today charged with various offences including three counts of breaching bail, aggravated home burglary and stealing, stealing a motor vehicle, possessing cannabis and providing false details to police.
