The City of Gosnells Christmas lights competition is underway with many Gosnells residents taking to the streets to view the lights and get into the festive spirit.

City of Gosnells mayor Olwen Searle said the lighting displays grew more spectacular each year.

“Taking a stroll to view the light is a wonderful way to spend time with your family,” she said.

“You can also meet your neighbours and share in the holiday fun.”

Ms Searle said this year the city had issued a challenge to Gosnells residents to make the city the best Christmas light viewing location in Perth.

“I look forward to seeing the creativity of our community at work,” she said.
