The Gosnells Hawks had a successful day last Saturday with the league, reserves and colts teams recording victories but the third team went down to Melville.

The league team moved three games clear at the top of the ladder with a convincing win over the second placed team Lynwood Ferndale.

A nine goal first quarter set the Hawks up for a comfortable win and the final score read Gosnells 20.13 (133) and Lynwood Ferndale 5.11 (41).

The best players were Jayden Woods, Kal Cummings with four goals and Ashley Pescod and Jack O’Rielly.

The reserves had an easy win over Lynwood Ferndale.

The team was strengthened with the addition of several players and showed improvement on the previous week.

The final score was Gosnells 20.13 (136) and Lynwood Ferndale 0.1 (1).

The best players were Scott Lewis, Chris Kessell, Aaron Gould and Joel Johansen.

The colts played a depleted Swan Valley and ran out easy winners and with five games remaining the team has an excellent chance to participate in the finals.

The final score for the colts was Gosnells 20.16 (136) and Swan Valley 1.3 (9).

The best players were Christian Agostino, Ben Dale, Mitchell Withers and Delray Jones.

The third team struggled and went down to Meville 25.12 (162) and Gosnells was 9.4 (58).

The best for the Hawks were Russell Fuller, Lam Le, Sam Carlino and Kyle Wood.

The Gosnells Hawks league, reserves and colts will travel to Scott Reserve to play High Wycombe on July 15.

The thirds are at home to Ocean Ridge with the game starting at 2.30pm.
